Exinda
Network - Service Delivery Point
SDP is available on demand as a hosted “Software as a Service” and licensed by the number of appliances to be managed or as an appliance hosted either at a company’s site or a managed service provider’s (MSP) site. Exinda’s hosted service further simplifies the WAN optimization process by eliminating the need to buy, install, maintain and upgrade management hardware and software. Since there is no capital investment, SDP offers a 70 - 90 percent savings compared to similar client/server solutions.
Exinda’s SDP outshines traditional centralized management systems (CMS) by eliminating the cost, risk and complexity of such implementations. SDP provides a quicker return on investment as it can be deployed quickly, typically in one week versus three months or more for a traditional CMS. SDP provides full visibility into network usage at application layer 7 while most CMS only focus on network layer 3.
Exinda also offers an alternative SDP appliance to be hosted at a company’s site or MSP’s site. This option is ideal for companies with a large number of networked sites and for companies with security policy that does not allow for data to be hosted externally. It is also well suited for MSP to manage multiple customers and their various installations.

Service Delivery Point: A Competitive Look
Eliminate the cost, risk and complexity of traditional Central Management Systems (CMS)
Exinda's lower cost of ownership philosophy while engineering Service Delivery Point (sdp.exinda.com) addresses the hidden costs, high failure rates, unacceptable risks and prolonged implementations of traditional CMS.
SDP saves up to 90 percent of traditional CMS by eliminating hidden costs
As an on-demand service, there is no software or hardware to buy, install, maintain or upgrade with SDP. This equates to a cost savings of as much as 90 percent compared to similar client/server solutions. See in the total cost of ownership (TCO) comparison chart below.

Reduce your risk and decrease your time to value
SDP minimizes the risk involved in implementing CMS by eliminating the need for up-front capital investment. Since all you need to start using SDP is a standard Web browser, your path to success is exceptionally short.
Our implementations typically take less than a week and rarely exceed a month, a short time when compared to three months or longer with client/server CMS software. As a result, you'll experience a quicker return on investment (ROI) with SDP in an average of three months rather than waiting six to12 months or longer for an ROI for client server CMS software.
Focus on your business, not on technology
CMS should solve your business problems, not create more headaches. With Exinda's SDP, you'll be free to focus on your core business, not worry about infrastructure requirements, maintenance and upgrades.
TCO Comparison Chart: SDP versus CMS software
While the table below gives total cost of ownership comparisons based on several common implementations, SDP's licenses are available in any increment you need - from one unit to 5,000 (or even more).
| Total Cost of Ownership | Traditional CMS | Exinda's SDP |
|---|---|---|
| Number of Units * | 50 | 50 |
| Application License & Subscription | $ 31,500 | $ 16,200 |
| Support/Upgrade Costs | $ 3,400 | $ 0 |
| Implementation & Customization * | $ 15,000 | $ 4,500 |
| IT Infrastructure/Hosting Costs | $ 6,000 | $ 0 |
| IT Personnel Support | $ 15,000 | $ 0 |
| Training Costs (Admin. & End Users) * | $ 5,500 | $ 2,00 |
| Total Costs USD ($) | $ 76,400 | $ 22,700 |
| Costs (%) | 100% | 29.71% |
* For this example we used:
2x 100 Mbps units
2x 45 Mbps units
46x 2 Mbps units
* Costs for implementation and training may
